Old Timers - Wordless WednesdayOld Timers –Wordless Wednesday

This is a really old picture of me and my siblings. I’m so happy to say that my brother has moved back from Florida. Yeehaw!!

My sister and I are still not talking but now that is my fault. She called and left me a message. I started to call her back and then my husband told me that she thought I sounded just like my father did way back when the night it all blew up. So I didn’t call her back. My heart still hurts but I won’t be judged by her or anyone else on how I treat my kids. Or how I act. Don’t like it. Take to stepping.

  • Tami,
Do me a favor, call your sister tell her that you did not appreciate what she said, but it is over.

I had to unhook my brother from life support in 2002. The last time I saw him alive he was drunk. He told me that he had just as much right to my kids as I did. My daughter was 4 and looked up at her uncle and said “I have a Daddy.”I got my kids in the car and never went back.

I did not see him until 2 years later in a Critical Care Burn Unit in Fresno,CA. My brother had fallen asleep on a couch with a cigarette and he was so drunk he died.

If I had the chance again,I would hold my brother and tell him how much I love him. I would do anything if I could turn back the times and have him die while I held his hand and told him how much I loved him. Life is to short and things happen so quickly. Two years pass before you know what happened.

    With a heavy heart.

  • I meant “not have him die while I held his had and told him how much I love him.”I started crying with a very heavy heart while I wrote this.

  • Love old pictures! I’m sorry about you and your sister. However,it sounds like you are doing this for good reason, and I applaud that. Sometimes, you just have to let go for a bit and hopefully things will come into perspective for both parties. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

  • I once had a kitty that looked just like that. She was smart too :)
We had a family disagreement and it took a parental death to smooth things over. I’ve known people who went the other way as well. I guess we just get along better when we live far apart and take it in moderation (with a grain of salt).

    Take care

  • I’m sorry about you and your sis.Lol,when something happens like that between me and my sister,I call or she calls and we talk like nothing happend. Because words hurt bad sometimes and life is really too short for this.
Hope you talk soon each other again.
    Have a great afternoon!

  • Hey! That kitty looks exactly like mine when she was a baby!

  • Morning

It’s a boring day today at work and I have time to search the internet. I was looking on concrete and construction articles and Googled your blog. I like it,it’s pleasant to read and I also like the way you write your articles.

Definitely it’s a pleasant surprise and I’m glad Google pointed into your direction.

    Cheers!
