I decided that I just wanted a post that just rambled about things that were going on.  It will be different than I usually write so enjoy.  This is just my freestyle way to go.

Friday Follow was a success so far.  We had 320 people jump the hop.  That is so exciting that you all appreciate what the hop is about.  It’s about helping everyone to become a success with their personal blogs.  I remember when I first started out and having to learn all the new tips and tricks of the trade.  Yes I called it a trade.  I think anything that one puts as much time as most of us put into our blogs it is a trade.  The writing ability (which btw I still wonder if mine is called writing or simply mumbling) that it takes to put out a blog and to keep it up is sometimes overwhelming.

So anyway..I did say rambling.  I am so excited about the new and improved Friday Follow.  To have different hosts who can put out different posts to showcase their work so that they can build a bigger membership/audience is amazing to me.  I know we plan on trying to put out tips as well.  I know that I went crazy yesterday with all the word verifications thingamajigs that I saw.

Now hopefully their will be some giveaways.  No guarantees on that one.  If there are a couple of the requirements is to join the Twitter –FridayFollowcom,the website,and to become a fan on Facebook.  Only have to do it once.. promise no big emails coming from me either.

Don’t you think its sexy that we have a website strictly dedicated to Friday-Follow?  I do.  It is strictly dedicated to help all bloggers out there.

I went to the races last night in Liberty,Indiana to meet up with my dad.  It was totally awesome.  I plan on posting some of the pictures that I took on Wednesday.  Now,I would have thought that Monkeyboy would be totally thrilled to be there but he acted like it was no big deal.  Except for the action fighting with my brother and dad,he didn’t much care that he was there.  On the other hand, Pumpkin absolutely loved it.  She was picking cars who would win and then asked each one of us which car we picked.  You would have thought that she had won something huge when her car won.  Her car won a lot since she picked the lead car.  Now I know that the lead car is the lead car because they placed during the speed trials.  But I was keeping mums about that.

Florence Macaroni Kid

Now I know that I told you all that I am now the Publisher &Editor of a newsletter for kid-friendly events in my neighborhood.  Well kind of my neighborhood,I do one for all of Northern Kentucky.  Pretty spiffy if you ask me. 

Did I tell you that it’s national??  That there are over 100 moms out there publishing a newsletter for their neighborhood?  Isn’t that awesome?

Here’s the great thing,I’m now considered PRESS.. yup people are giving me tickets and/or sending me invitations to special events happening in my area.  Today I went to a Music Day where I learned there are so many arts and crafts things that you can do to teach a child about music.  Elizabeth,the owner,of Little Songbird Music is an incredible lady.  She used to go to churches and teach about music.  For instance,did you know that when a child turns 9 years old their musical ability is pretty much formed for their entire life?  That little fact makes me nervous.  Monkeyboy is very musical inclined.  Or so he was when we first got him,he doesn’t do as much anymore with it.

Elizabeth has a great blog about small children and what affects them musically here.

Will my husband ever grow up?  Ok and my neighborhood men!!!

Ken installed the extended driveway on Friday morning.  We needed it because the law said we had to have it for the OLD boat of his.  We’ve been keeping it at a friends house until we could afford the driveway.  Anyway,picture this… 

Cement truck comes and pours the cement in a little corner of the driveway.  AND LEAVES.

Guys get wheelbarrows and move the concrete around.. no biggie yet right?  Can’t imagine anything can go wrong.

Time to level out the driveway…Easy peasy right?

Um no…  Our deck is on left side.. and then our neighbor’s yard which is higher than ours on the other side.

Guess what idiot husband does?

Any clue?

He takes the ladder off of his work truck and puts it…

Take a guess!!!

He puts it across from the top of our deck railing (which isn’t strong) crossing over the freshly poured cement driveway and up to the neighbor’s yard.  TWO nuts held the ladder on the ends while TWO bigger nuts crawled out there and used a leveler to level out the cement underneath them.

Can you imagine what the video would have been like if one nut fell off into the freshly poured cement below??
