Sunday Rambling

So Ken is out on yet another side job.  I get so sick of side jobs.  Truly I don’t want to complain about it.  But sometimes I just want him to be here.  We need the money but sacrificing how much time we have with him sometimes is very hard.

The kids are playing upstairs.  They are simply used to him not being here.  It’s sad in my mind.  We spent the day outside playing.  I watched the kids ride their bikes up and down the road.

Happy New Years – 2010

It’s a New Year.  I’m sitting here thinking about all the wonderful things that are in my life.  We start the new year as a family together sitting watching parades and cartoons.  Interesting combination my husband has going on.  Does your significant other switch channels all the time?  Its irritating but right now it is what it is.

I thought about New Year’s resolutions that I had last year.  Did I do them all?  No I haven’t.  Am I happy today as I was last year?  Well No I’m happy.  So that must mean that all those resolutions weren’t as important to

Things Children Say

Jack (age 3) was watching his mom breast-feeding his new baby sister.  After a while, he asked:  “Mom why have you got two?  Is one for hot and one for cold milk?”

Steven (age 3) hugged and kissed his mom good night.  “I love you so much, that when you die I’m going to buy your outside my bedroom window.”

Susan (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups.  “Please don’t give me this juice again,” she said, “It makes my teeth cough.”

Tell them that you love them.  – Think about how much your parents used to tell you they love you.  Remember, how good that felt?  Tell them now.

Hug them every day. - Think about how good a hug feels even from a stranger.  Shouldn’t you be hugging your kids first?
